Kolkata fest in India to host ‘Femininity’

Iranian documentary ‘Femininity’ has been selected to compete at the 27th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival in India.

Directed by Mohsen Ostad-Ali and produced by Alireza Alavian, the documentary narrates the story of several women who are living together for a shared reason.

Ostad-Ali’s documentary participated in the 75th edition of the Salerno International Film Festival in Italy in November.

It has also been a winner of the Best Documentary award at the Iranian festival of Cinema Verite.

Raft Films company is responsible for the international distribution of ‘Femininity’.

According to the official website of the Kolkata International Film Festival, “it is proposed for the cine lovers, critics, actors and others so that they continue to feel the pulse of the gala international film festival in the cultural capital of India even in this pandemic situation”.

The 2022 edition of the event will be held on January 7-14.
